Atech Products: Anti-Fracture Membrane
The Anti-Fracture Membrane by Atech Products is a two-part system made of liquid rubber and reinforcing fabric. Once it dries, it becomes a very flexible layer. This is helpful because when you put tiles on floors using the thin bed method, sometimes the floors can crack. These cracks can show through the tiles or grout lines. To stop or lessen these cracks, you should use our membrane on the cracked floor before putting down ceramic tiles, marble, or stone. Our Anti-Fracture Membrane has Microban protection. This helps fight mold and mildew that can cause stains.

  • Stops Cracks: Helps stop cracks from spreading in ceramic tile, thin brick, marble, and stone when using the thin-set method. Great for use under cement-based or resin Terrazzo.
  • Microban Protection: Fights mold and mildew that can stain the membrane.
  • Thin Layer: Adds no noticeable thickness to the floor. You can put tiles directly on the cured membrane using Polymer Fortified Thin-Set Mortar.
  • Strong: Rated “Extra Heavy Service” by TCNA (based on the ASTM C627 Robinson Floor Test).
  • Easy to Apply: Can be quickly applied with a paintbrush or roller. No mixing or special tools needed.
  • Safe: No solvents or harsh fumes, and it is non-flammable.
  • Fast Drying: Dries in just a few hours, ready for the final surface.
  • Easy Cleanup: Cleans with water while still fresh.
